?Maersk Line is the first shipping company to announce the cancellation of Asia-Europe service during the Golden Week holiday in China.

   Maersk Line canceled two out of five trade routes linked to China due to reduced factory production on holidays.

   Maersk Line said the entire Asia-Europe 6 (AE6) service will be canceled in the 41st week and the Asia-Europe7 (AE7) service will be suspended from the Chinese ports. The Asian ports of call will only retain TANJUNG PELEPAS, And Colombo in Sri Lanka.

   The route adjustment will affect the AE6 route ship RDO Concord and the AE7 route Georg Maersk.

   "Maersk Line plans to adjust its capacity to meet the anticipated decline of Golden Week China and we will try our best to provide alternative routes in an effort to reduce the impact on our customers." Maersk Line said.

   Other shipping companies are expected to follow suit routes one after another, and Golden Week is often the beginning of a slowdown in winter traffic.
